Ceremony rooms in Kendal are in the Town Hall. The Georgian Room holds a maximum of 25 people, up to 23 guests plus the couple. It is on the first floor, with a lift, and it has large windows. The Chairman's Room holds a maximum of 10 people, up to eight guests plus the couple. It is on the ground floor, with steps up to the room. There is no parking on site. Enquiries go to South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, LA9 4DQ, which is a different building from the ceremony.
A traditional ceremony in the Town Hall is £286 Monday to Thursday and £300 on Friday. Saturday is £431, the same figure the fee table shows for Penrith. A non-refundable deposit of £135 is deducted from the ceremony fee. These rooms have no ceremonies on Sunday or bank holidays. Tell the photographer which car park you are using, and which door you will walk from, because there is no parking at the Town Hall itself. If the meal is at another address, ask for that travel in the quote.
