How these prices were counted
The prices on this site come from public photographer pricing pages, surveyed in October 2026. The crawl of those pages ran on 4 October 2026. Pages that quote a figure also show the sample size and that date. This page was updated on 11 October 2026.
Anchor metric
The headline number is one figure per photographer website: the cheapest package that counts as a full day and is not flagged as including an album, a second photographer or video. A package counts as a full day when stated hours are 7 or more, or, when hours were not verified, when the page calls it a full day. From-prices are included. Unknown inclusion flags stay in. Where several listings share a domain, the price is counted once.
69.9% of these headline packages do not say whether an album is included (n=1,438 of 2057). 70.2% do not say whether a second photographer is included (n=1444). Because flagged albums are excluded, the set is not a measure of how often an album is sold. Treat the median as a surveyed anchor, not a quote for your date.
A 20-package review of the stored page text, checked again on 4 October 2026, passed 18 packages, corrected one from-price flag, and left two misses in the set. One page uses "digital album" for files on a USB, which is not a printed album, and that site's full-day packages stay out of the digital set. Another page's ceremony-to-first-dance package stays labelled a full day. A blanket rule for either miss would also have dropped packages the pages support, so neither rule was applied. The headline median was unchanged by the from-price correction.
From-prices are 19.0% of the headline (n=390). A from-price is kept when the amount is a range or a plus price, or when a price cue (from, starting, beginning at, and the same family of words) sits in the price text or in the 240 characters before it. "From bridal preparations" does not count. The firm-price median, with from-prices removed, is £1,500 (n=1,678; middle half £1,195 to £1,850; per hour £170, n=865).
49.0% of headline packages have stated hours written beside the price (n=1,008). The hour check looks for a number next to "hours" or "hrs". A correct hour line can sit further down a long include list, and those packages stay in their bands.

Town, county and region figures
A town full-day digital median is published only when at least 5 photographers in that town had one. The middle half beside it is the middle half of those full-day digital prices, not a mix of shorter packages. The per-hour figure for a town is published only when at least 5 of those packages state hours. 183 towns meet the full-day rule in this edition.
If the town sample is under 5, the page uses the county full-day digital median, then the region median, and the sentence says which one it is. Those are the survey's own county and region medians, published only when n is at least 5. They are not a sample-size-weighted average of town medians, and they are not the town's own median. Region medians for the same full-day digital package run from £1,350 in the North West (n=206) to £1,700 in London (n=183). Surveyed 4 October 2026.
