St George's Hall, by the visitor entrance
The register office in Liverpool is at St George's Hall. From 1 February 2026 a statutory signing is £74.50, on Tuesday and Wednesday before 11am. The planning notes keep that ceremony to two guests: legal vows, an exchange of rings, and entry through the visitor entrance. Tell the photographer to use that entrance. If you only have the hall for a short slot, say when you must be out.
The Grand Jury Room, the Sefton Room and the Concert Room are enhanced ceremonies. The Grand Jury Room takes a larger party. The Sefton Room is smaller and looks over St John's Gardens, so name the gardens if you want pictures there. A registrar at an approved venue is a separate line, and the venue hire is extra. A separate non-refundable provisional booking fee holds the date. Another council note mentions Monday to Thursday, so confirm the day when you reserve the £74.50 signing.
The room, the minutes, and the second address
Name the room and how long you want someone there. A meal you can walk to needs less time than one that needs a car, and a drive belongs in the quote. Ask whether a camera can be in the room when only two guests are allowed. For the Sefton Room or the Grand Jury Room, send the guest count.
Which mornings are the £74.50 signing, and how long should we book?
The fee page says Tuesday and Wednesday before 11am. One or two hours often covers that ceremony and a few pictures outside the visitor entrance. Confirm the day when you reserve it. Book longer for an enhanced room or a meal.
We want the Sefton Room. What changes in the pictures?
It is an enhanced room, priced apart from the early statutory slot, and it does not hold the same number of people as the Grand Jury Room. It looks over St John's Gardens. Guest count is part of the photographer's quote. The Concert Room is a third option, so name the one on your booking.
The meal is not at the hall. What do we send?
The second address and the gap between the two. Ask for those hours, and ask whether an album is a later bill. If the hall slot is short, say when you must be out.
