Three rooms at Kings Chapel
Kings Chapel in Amersham, HP7 0DJ, has three capacities: the Main Hall for 240, the Boardroom for 58, and the Reception Room for 100. Fees from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 put a civil marriage or civil partnership at an approved venue, the Ruby package, at £810 Monday to Saturday and £869 on Sunday or a bank holiday. The fee includes the registrar and two certificates. An evening ceremony between 5.30pm and 7pm on Friday or Saturday adds £307. Everything is paid when you book. Those three rooms will not share a lighting plan, so the photographer needs the room name.
Pearl, at £87 on the first Tuesday of each month, is only at the register office in Aylesbury. Kings Chapel is the Ruby line. Emerald and Topaz are at Beaconsfield, Aylesbury or High Wycombe. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, ceremony plus a few pictures outside. The Main Hall, for 240, needs longer if you want groups. If you have both the Aylesbury Tuesday and the chapel, send both addresses and the time you leave. Book the chapel, then the registrars, and say if the £307 evening supplement applies.
Room size sets the hours
Send the capacity you have hired. A Boardroom of 58, a Reception Room of 100 and a hall of 240 are different group photographs. If the ceremony is between 5.30pm and 7pm, the extra £307 applies and the finish time moves. Say how long you want the photographer to stay if the meal is in the same building.

Main Hall 240, Boardroom 58, or Reception Room 100, at HP7 0DJ. A photographer cannot light all three the same way. Send the room you have booked and the guest count you will actually use.
What hours sit beside the Ruby fee for 2026 to 2027?
The fee is £810 Monday to Saturday, and £869 on Sunday or a bank holiday, including the registrar and two certificates. Ask for photography hours that cover the ceremony and the group pictures in the room you have hired. Say if you are inside the evening supplement of £307.
What does a Friday evening add at the chapel?
