The ground-floor room at Parkside
Melton Mowbray Registration Office is at Parkside, LE13 1GH. The room is contemporary, on the ground floor, with disabled access and parking. That matters if the photographer is bringing a trolley, and for any guest who cannot manage stairs: everyone stays on one level, so the pictures do not depend on a staircase. For 2026/2027 a classic ceremony at a registration office, other than the Cedar Room at Glenfield, is £225 Monday to Thursday and £340 Friday to Sunday, including one certificate. The non-refundable deposit is £125, taken when you book, for ceremonies other than the simple rooms at Glenfield and Coalville.
Send Parkside, the start time, and whether you are on a £225 day or a £340 day. Saturday sits in the Friday to Sunday price. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, ceremony plus a few pictures outside. A licensed venue elsewhere is a different registrar fee, £590 Monday to Thursday in the same year. If the meal is at that venue, send both addresses and ask whether the travel between them is included.
How long should we book for a classic ceremony at Parkside?
One or two hours usually covers the signing and a few pictures outside a ground-floor room. Say if you want longer for group photographs. Name the day: Monday to Thursday is £225 and Friday to Sunday is £340 in 2026/2027, including one certificate.
Does the photographer need the ground-floor access?
Mention it if they are bringing a trolley, or if guests cannot use stairs. The room at Parkside is on the ground floor, with disabled access. Portraits can stay on that level rather than moving to another floor.
Can the photographer stand in the room at Parkside?
Ask the office and put the answer with your guest count. If they need to wait outside, say so, so the first pictures are planned at the door. The room is the ceremony space, and it is not the Cedar Room at Glenfield.
What do we send if we are at a licensed venue instead?
Name that venue and the start time. Registrar attendance is £590 Monday to Thursday in 2026/2027, which is not the Parkside classic fee, and it does not include the venue's room hire. Ask for travel to be included if you also want pictures at a second address.
Does the £125 deposit belong in the photography enquiry?
It is taken when you book and it is not refundable. The photographer needs the Parkside start time and the hours, not the deposit. Say whether you are on the Monday to Thursday fee or the Friday to Sunday fee so the length of the day is clear.
