The Regent's Room and the marble staircase

The Regent's Room at Camden Town Hall holds 20 guests. For April 2026 to April 2027 the registrars' fee is £305 on Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4pm, £365 on Friday, £430 on Saturday, and £875 on Sunday between 9am and 8pm. Every couple can take photographs on the marble staircase after the ceremony. You can also marry on the staircase itself, with two witnesses: £425 on Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, and £455 on Saturday, in that same window.

The staircase sits inside a working building. If noise interrupts, you can move into a ceremony room and still take the photographs on the stairs. Step-free access is by a ramp to the right of the main entrance, so name that door if someone in the group needs it. If the party is at an approved venue, the registrars' fee does not include room hire, and the photographer needs that building's name. One or two hours often covers a short signing and a few pictures on the stairs. With 20 guests, say how long you can stay there. Guests coming from King's Cross can run late, so send the room name and the arrival time you want. If you leave for a meal, put that address in the quote.

Can we use the marble stairs if we marry in the Regent's Room?

Yes. Every couple can take photographs there after the ceremony. A ceremony on the staircase itself is a separate booking, for two witnesses, at £425 on a weekday or £455 on Saturday. Say which one you have, and how long you can stay on the stairs.

How many hours do 20 guests need on the staircase?

One or two hours often covers the signing and a few pictures on the marble stairs. A full group of 20 needs the minutes you actually want. If you go on to another venue, send that address. Monday to Thursday in the Regent's Room is £305 for April 2026 to April 2027.

What does a Sunday booking change for the photographer?

The Regent's Room on Sunday is £875, between 9am and 8pm, in that April 2026 to April 2027 window. Friday is £365 and Saturday is £430. A Sunday slot can sit later than a weekday ceremony, which ends at 4pm in the weekday listing. The staircase ceremony prices in the same list are weekday and Saturday.

What if noise reaches a ceremony on the stairs?

The council says unwanted noise can happen, because the stairs are in a working building. You can then be offered a ceremony room and still photograph the stairs. Tell the photographer both spots so they know where to stand.

What if the party is at an approved venue, not the Town Hall?

Name that building. The registrars' fee does not include room hire there. Send the start time, the guest count, and where you want portraits if they are somewhere other than the Town Hall staircase.
