The Culver Room is still a planned venue
The Culver Room in Vernon House is being refurbished for weddings, civil marriages and partnerships, renewal of vows and baby naming. A new registration space in Farnham is expected to open in November, with a phased launch. When the page was reviewed on 6 October 2026, the opening date was still to be confirmed. The library space has already reopened. Listed-building consent is part of the work, so Vernon House is a careful conversion.
Until that opening date is published, treat the Culver Room as a plan rather than a booked ceremony. Current ceremonies are at Guildford, Leatherhead and Weybridge, or at a licensed venue. If your date is after the hub opens, ask which building and which hours apply, and send those. A library that is already open is a different fact from a ceremony diary. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, ceremony plus a few pictures outside, at whichever building is actually confirmed. If the meal is a second address, add the drive. A library visit and a ceremony in the Culver Room may share the hub later, and only once the council has said the room is open.
