The Tregenver room, and who is counted
Cornwall Council puts the Falmouth ceremony room in the old Tregenver building, once the boys' grammar school assembly hall, with a raised stage and wooden floors. It holds up to 60 guests. That number includes adults, children, photographers and videographers, and it does not include the two of you. If you want the photographer inside, count them before you fill the guest list. From 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, between 8am and 5.30pm, a distinctive ceremony in that registration-office room is £668 on Monday to Friday and on Saturday, £746 on Sunday, and £980 on a bank holiday. A non-refundable deposit of £88 is included in those fees.
A simple ceremony is a different booking: eight guests, including witnesses, children and the photographer, at £361 on Monday to Friday in the same year. Say which of the two you have booked, and the start time. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, ceremony plus a few pictures outside. The distinctive ceremony, with a larger group and the stage, needs the hours you actually want, especially if you are going on to a garden or the beach.
Gardens and the beach after the vows
The council points to Chi Aberfala, Gyllyngvase Beach, Fox Rosehill Gardens and Queen Mary Gardens. They are not all next to the stage, so name the one you want and ask the photographer to include the walk or the drive. If the meal is at a second venue, send that address and the time you leave the Tregenver building, and ask whether the travel sits inside the quote.
Does the photographer count toward the 60 in the Tregenver room?
Yes. Adults, children, photographers and videographers are all inside the 60. The two of you are not. Tell them you have reserved a place for the camera if you want them on the stage rather than only outside afterwards.
How many hours cover the £361 simple ceremony?
That booking is eight guests, including the photographer, on a Monday to Friday. One or two hours is often enough for the signing and a few pictures outside. Say if you still want time at Gyllyngvase Beach or one of the gardens, because that extra stop should be in the hours.
How should a Sunday distinctive ceremony be briefed?
From 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, between 8am and 5.30pm, the distinctive ceremony is £668 on Monday to Friday and on Saturday. Sunday is £746 and a bank holiday is £980. Those are the council's room fees. Send the day, the start time, and how long you want the photographer there. The £88 deposit is already included in the fee.
