Town Hall rooms, then the seafront
Eastbourne Register Office is in the Town Hall on Grove Road, BN21 4UG. The building is Victorian, with a stone portico, a 130-foot clock tower and a stained glass window over the grand staircase. Four rooms cover ceremonies for 2 to 78 guests. For a booking made before 1 April 2027, the Mayor's Parlour holds 20 and the Southbourne Suite holds 40. Both are £535 on Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4.30pm, £620 on Friday to Sunday, and £885 on a bank holiday. That fee includes the room, the registrars, two legal certificates and one commemorative certificate, and you pay it in full when you book. The Council Chamber holds 60 and the Court Room holds 80. Those two are Saturday and Sunday only, 9am to 4.30pm, at £680 in the same booking window. The Parlour and the Suite also run on weekdays.
There is no allocated parking. You can be dropped directly outside. Paid bays are on the surrounding streets, or at the station about 10 minutes on foot. A start from 5pm until 9.59pm adds £195. A start from 10pm until 8.59am adds £295. A 4.30pm finish and a 5pm start are different jobs. The staircase under the stained glass is the indoor portrait. Add the seafront only if you still want it after a 4.30pm finish.
How long should we book for the Mayor's Parlour?
Name the Mayor's Parlour, the start, and whether you are inside the 9am to 4.30pm window. Twenty guests is a small room, so a group picture may need the portico just after you come out. The weekday fee before 1 April 2027 is £535. That is the council charge. If you want the seafront after 4.30pm, add those minutes to the photographer's hours.
What changes if a Grove Road ceremony starts at 6pm?
A start from 5pm until 9.59pm adds £195 to the room fee. From 10pm until 8.59am adds £295. The photographer needs the later finish. Daylight on Grove Road at 4.30pm and the clock tower after 5pm are different pictures.
When can we use the Court Room?
Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 4.30pm, at £680 if you book before 1 April 2027. It holds 80. The Council Chamber holds 60 on the same weekend hours and the same fee. Weekday ceremonies use the Mayor's Parlour or the Southbourne Suite.
Where should the car stop at the Town Hall?
Use the drop-off directly outside the Town Hall. There is no reserved parking. If guests are walking from the station, allow about 10 minutes, and wait until they are at the door before you line up the group.
What keeps a Grove Road quote matched to the room?
Send the room name, the guest count, the start, and whether an evening surcharge applies. Two legal certificates and one commemorative certificate are already inside the council fee. Add the seafront only if you want it covered.
