Three rooms at the Town Hall
Hastings ceremonies are at the Town Hall. The Mayor's Parlour holds 15, the Rossetti Room holds 20, and the Council Chamber holds 60. The Mayor's Parlour and the Rossetti Room can be booked for ceremonies up to 31 March 2027. The Council Chamber can be booked for ceremonies between 9 November 2026 and 31 March 2027. You pay in full when you book. The fee includes the room, the registrars, two legal certificates and one commemorative certificate.
For a booking made before 1 April 2027, the Mayor's Parlour and the Rossetti Room are £535 on Monday to Thursday from 9am to 4.30pm, £620 on Friday to Sunday in those hours, and £885 on a bank holiday. The Council Chamber is £590, £680 and £925 on the same day bands. A start from 5pm until 9.59pm adds £195. A start from 10pm until 8.59am adds £295. New Year's Day, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day add £180. An extra marriage or civil partnership certificate is £12.50. Fifteen people in the Mayor's Parlour leaves little standing room once a camera is in the aisle, so say whether the photographer is inside that 15. Sixty in the Council Chamber needs a wider frame and a longer arrival. Send the room, the start, and whether the start is after 5pm.
Which Town Hall rooms can we book through March 2027?
The Mayor's Parlour and the Rossetti Room are available for ceremonies up to 31 March 2027. The Council Chamber is available from 9 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. Put the room on the brief. Fifteen, 20 and 60 guests are different photographs.
What does the Monday £535 include?
For a booking made before 1 April 2027, £535 is the Monday to Thursday fee, 9am to 4.30pm, in the Mayor's Parlour or the Rossetti Room. It includes the room, the registrars, two legal certificates and one commemorative certificate. The Council Chamber's Monday to Thursday figure is £590.
Will a camera fit in the Mayor's Parlour?
The Mayor's Parlour holds 15, and the aisle is tight once a camera is in it. Tell the photographer the headcount, including anyone standing. The Rossetti Room holds 20, which gives a little more floor. The Council Chamber holds 60.
What should we say about a 6pm Council Chamber start?
A start from 5pm until 9.59pm adds £195. From 10pm until 8.59am adds £295. Write the later finish into the hours. A quote built around the daytime 4.30pm close will end too early.
Do bank holidays change the Town Hall fee?
Yes. Before 1 April 2027 a bank holiday is £885 in the Mayor's Parlour or the Rossetti Room, and £925 in the Council Chamber. New Year's Day, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day add a further £180. Name the day so the photographer's arrival matches that Town Hall slot.
