The centre of town, or a valley village
Stroud sits in a set of valleys. Nailsworth, Painswick, Minchinhampton, Stonehouse and Chalford are close on a map and awkward in a timetable, especially on a lane in the rain. If you only say the town, a photographer has not been asked for a venue up a valley. Write the village. If the ceremony is in town and the meal is not, those are two stops, and the gap between them should be in the quote.
