The Study on a Monday, or a room for 60 to 70
Wiltshire Council's fee table for 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 puts two kinds of ceremony at Bourne Hill in Salisbury. The Study holds 6 guests and is offered on Mondays only, at £250, with limited availability. The Library and the Wyndham Room are in the 60 to 70 guest band: £425 Monday to Wednesday, £525 Thursday or Friday, and £600 on Saturday. A £75 reservation fee sits on top of every ceremony type and is not part of the ceremony fee. The balance of the ceremony fee is due at least three months before the date.
Say which room is booked, because the number of people who can stand for a picture is not the same. A Monday in the Study is a small legal gathering. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, plus a few pictures on the steps. The Library or the Wyndham Room is a seated group, and it needs the hours you want for those guests.
After 5pm, or a second address
There are no approved-venue ceremonies on Christmas Day. After 5pm, Monday to Saturday, an approved venue is £775. If the celebration moves from Bourne Hill to an approved venue, that address is a second pin, and the drive should be in the quote. Send the room, the start, and whether you will still be on the steps after the registrar has finished.
How long should we book for the Monday Study at Bourne Hill?
The Study is £250, Mondays only, for 6 guests, with limited availability, from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, plus a few pictures on the steps. Tell them it is the small room so they do not arrive set up for a crowd.
What should we say about the Library or the Wyndham Room?
Both are listed for 60 to 70 guests, at £425 Monday to Wednesday. Thursday or Friday is £525 and Saturday is £600. Name which room, the start time, and how long you want groups on the steps after the registrar has finished.
We are moving to an approved venue after Bourne Hill. What changes?
Send that second address and the time you leave. After 5pm, Monday to Saturday, an approved venue is £775, and there are no approved-venue ceremonies on Christmas Day. Ask whether the travel between Bourne Hill and the meal is included.
Does the £75 fee tell the photographer anything about the pictures?
It secures the date and time with the council, and it does not form part of the ceremony fee. It is not their price. They need the room name, the start, and whether you are staying on the steps. The ceremony balance is due at least three months before the date.
