Trinity Square, or a licensed venue
Essex County Council lists the registration office at Colchester Library, 21 Trinity Square, CO1 1JB. That is the published address for the office. The legal ceremony may be there or at another licensed building, and the photographer needs the one on your booking. Send the building name, the start time, and how long you have been told the appointment will last.
A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, ceremony plus a few pictures outside. If the vows are at the library, say whether you want portraits at the door, and read the council's AccessAble note if anyone needs a step-free entrance. That door can be a different place to stand from the library steps, so name the one you are using. If the meal is at a hotel or another licensed venue, send that address and the time you leave Trinity Square, and ask for the drive to be included or left out. Say whether you want the time between the two covered.
Notice at Trinity Square on a different day from the ceremony is a separate visit. Do not send the photographer to the library if you will already be at a hotel. Journeys to the office can take longer while works continue at St Botolph's Circus until 12 October 2027, so ask them to be at the right door before the registrar starts.
