Book Moot House, then the registrar
Moot House is one of nine Essex community venues used for ceremonies in Harlow. Contact the venue to confirm the date. The venue holds it without a deposit. You then book a registrar, and the fee you pay the council includes the venue hire and the registrar. The room is not a separate bill. Notice is at the central library, Cross Street, CM20 1HA, which is not the ceremony building.
For 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 the table is £270 Monday to Thursday, £370 on Friday, and £465 on Saturday morning. The following year those rows become £280, £380 and £480, and the year after that £290, £390 and £495. Two marriage certificates add £25. The fees include VAT. Saturday afternoon is not on the table, so a later Saturday slot has to be confirmed before you put it in a photographer's diary. A ceremony less than 56 days away adds an administration charge of £150. Send Moot House, the start, and the hours you have the house. If you want pictures beyond the ceremony, say the finish time.
